Fire Warden

Course Overview

This half day Fire Warden course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to support fire safety procedures within the workplace. Attendees will gain an understanding of emergency response protocols, fire prevention measures, and the safe evacuation of staff using recognised Fire Warden procedures and techniques.

Under current health and safety legislation, employers are required to establish and maintain an Emergency Plan detailing the procedures for safely evacuating the workplace in the event of a fire. Fire Wardens play a critical role in the effective implementation of these procedures during an emergency situation.

This course provides participants with a clear understanding of the duties and responsibilities of a Fire Warden, including how to coordinate and manage fire drills safely and effectively. It also outlines the key steps involved in developing and implementing a workplace Emergency Plan where one is not already in place.
