Accredited Since 2009

Carraig Safety Consultants Ltd t/a TrainedIn is an accredited centre with QQI (Quality and Qualifications Ireland). We deliver accredited health and safety related programmes at Levels 4–6 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ).

These programmes are designed to support learners working across a wide range of industries including healthcare, construction, training and development, and business environments. Our QQI programmes focus on developing practical skills, knowledge and professional competence in health and safety and workplace practices.

Carraig Safety Consultants originally achieved Quality Assurance agreement with FETAC (Further Education and Training Awards Council) in 2010

Following the Qualifications and Quality Assurance (Education and Training) Act 2012, FETAC, HETAC and the National Qualifications Authority of Ireland were amalgamated to form QQI.

QQI is the independent state agency responsible for promoting quality and accountability in education and training services in Ireland. It also maintains and develops the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ), Ireland’s 10-level system for recognising learning achievements.

At TrainedIn, our QQI Quality Assurance framework ensures consistent delivery standards, learner protection, transparent assessment processes and continuous improvement.

At Carraig Safety Consultants Ltd t/a TrainedIn, we are committed to providing a fair, transparent and supportive learning environment for all learners. The following policies outline key procedures that support learners throughout their training journey.

For full details on all learner policies, procedures and supports, please refer to our Quality Assurance (QA) Manual and Learner Handbook.

TrainedIn is committed to ensuring fair access to learning and assessment for all learners. Where appropriate, reasonable accommodations may be provided to support learners whose personal circumstances or disabilities may otherwise impact their ability to participate in assessments or training activities.

Examples of accommodations may include additional time for assessments, alternative assessment formats, or support from a reader or scribe where appropriate.

Learners who require reasonable accommodation are encouraged to notify the team as early as possible so that appropriate arrangements can be made.

For further information, please refer to the QA Manual and Learner Handbook.

All programmes delivered by TrainedIn are conducted in English. Learners must have a sufficient level of written and spoken English to fully participate in the course, engage in practical activities, and complete any required assessments.

For certain accredited programmes, learners may be required to demonstrate an appropriate level of English language proficiency to ensure they can meet the learning outcomes and safety requirements of the course.

Full details on language requirements can be found in the QA Manual and Learner Handbook.

TrainedIn operates a fair and transparent appeals process to ensure learners have the opportunity to request a review of an assessment result or assessment process if they believe they have been disadvantaged.

Learners are encouraged to first raise any concerns informally with their tutor or programme coordinator. If the matter cannot be resolved, a formal appeals process is available in accordance with our Quality Assurance procedures.

Further details on the appeals process and timelines are available in the QA Manual and Learner Handbook.

TrainedIn recognises that valuable learning can occur through formal, non-formal and informal experiences, including previous training, work experience, or professional development.

Through our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process, learners may apply to have relevant prior learning recognised for programme entry or exemption from specific elements of a course where appropriate.

All RPL applications are reviewed to ensure alignment with programme learning outcomes and awarding body requirements.

For full details on the RPL process and how to apply, please refer to the QA Manual and Learner Handbook.
