Course Overview
Our HACCP Level 1 e-learning course provides an introduction to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles, focusing on basic food safety practices. This course is ideal for individuals new to food safety or those working in environments where food is handled. The flexible online format allows learners to complete the course at their own pace, covering essential concepts to ensure safe and hygienic food handling in the workplace.




This course is suitable for:

  • Entry-level employees in the food industry, including food handlers, kitchen staff, and anyone responsible for basic food safety practices.
  • Organisations aiming to ensure that their staff understand and follow fundamental HACCP principles.
  • Individuals looking to develop a foundational knowledge of food safety and HACCP requirements.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will:

  • Understand the basics of HACCP and its role in maintaining food safety.

The HACCP Level 1 e-learning course includes the following modules:

  1. Introduction to HACCP – Overview of HACCP and its relevance in the food industry.
  2. Food Safety Hazards – Identifying physical, chemical, and biological hazards that can compromise food safety.
  3. Personal Hygiene – Understanding the role of hygiene in food safety and preventing contamination.
  4. Safe Food Handling Practices – Basic practices for storing, preparing, and handling food safely.

The e-learning module is self-paced, allowing learners to complete it at their convenience. On average, the online course takes approximately 1-2 hours to finish.

Learners are assessed through a series of interactive quizzes and a final online test. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a HACCP Level 1 Certificate of Completion, recognised as meeting basic food safety training requirements.
