Manual handling is the most common cause of work-related injuries in our country. They can cause personal suffering and loss of income for both individuals and organisations. Most incidents and injuries can be prevented by adopting positive and safe workplace practices.
The aim of this particular course is to ensure that all attendees have the basic skills needed to action their manual handling tasks in the workplace correctly thus reducing their risk of injury.
Not only will manual handling training help increase employees' awareness of risks involved with lifting, employees will recognise that that their welfare is top priority, and the course will lead to less people taking time off work due to injury.

Does this course have an additional practical element that has to be completed?
Yes in order to receive full training cert both theory and practical element will have to be completed. Carraig Safety will arrange a date to complete the practical element of course after completion of theory.
What Certification will I receive?
Once the 30 minute course has been completed, users are required to take a final test consisting of The final test has a minimum pass rate requirement of 70%.On successful completion of the test, users can download and print off a completion certificate. This certificate will then have to be presented to Carraig Safety Trainer to allow for the practical element to be carried out.
Once Practical element of course is completed Carraig Safety will issue the learner with a certificate showing that theory and practical element of the course has been completed.
